The Specialty Transport Team is ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our Team consists of highly trained critical care paramedics with an average of over seven years of experience in emergency patient care. Aside from the training and qualifications listed below, team members were selected because of their desire to make quality patient care and excellent customer service their highest priority.
All critical care paramedics on the team are required to complete the critical care paramedic training course developed by the Good Samaritan EMS system which consists of an 80 hour didactic program, as well as a clinical orientation. Additionally, previously required clinical rotations have since developed into active clinical roles within the hospital including: the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Heart Unit, Interventional Cardiac Catheterization lab, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Operating Room.
